The accelerators of the SAGA light source (SAGA-LS) consist of a 1.4-GeV electron storage ring and a 255-MeV injector linac. The electron beam is accelerated to 255 MeV in the linac and it is then injected into the storage ring. After the electrons are accumulated up to 300 mA, they are accelerated from 255 MeV to 1.4 GeV in the ring. The synchrotron radiation from the 1.4-GeV electron beam is supplied to users.
The electron linac consists of the following devices. The total length of the linac is about 30 m. The electron beam is produced from the electron gun and it is then bunch-compressed in the buncher section. After passing through the buncher section, the electron beam is accelerated to 255 MeV with six accelerating tubes.

The storage ring consists of the following devices. The ring has eight-fold symmetry and it is 75.6 m in circumference. There are 16 bending magnets, 40 quadrupole magnets, and 32 sextupole magnets in the ring. The 1.4-GeV electron beam circulates in the ring 4×106 times per second. The stored current is 300 mA (the number of electrons is 4.7×1011). The lifetime of the beam is about 10 hours.
