About us

The Kyushu Synchrotron Light Research Center was established by Saga Prefecture, a local government in Kyushu, as a designated administrator based on the Local Autonomy Law to operate the synchrotron Light facility named as the SAGA Light Source (SAGA-LS). SAGA-LS was built by Saga Prefecture as the only synchrotron light facility in Kyushu.

Our mission is to promote a technology innovation of regional industries, to support revolutions in the field of material and biomedical science, and to foster professional growth of human resources as a technology interchange center through support for the use of synchrotron light.
